From my journal, May 11, 2023, Newbury Park, California
“Helped with a Mother’s Day project at school today…so much fun! I asked the 3rd graders to share adjectives that describe their moms. They mentioned– beautiful, hard-working, loving, caring, smart, thoughtful, kind, friendly – just what you’d expect, still it was so heartwarming hearing those words! Sweet kids. Lucky moms.”

I think of my mom every day, and especially on Mother’s Day. My mom can be described by all those adjectives, as well as funny and just plain fun! Walking around town simply talking, sitting in lawn chairs enjoying music at a concert, or perusing shelf after shelf in a bookstore, being together has always been filled with easy-going fun. She has a great sense of humor and always finds a positive way of looking at any situation. My mom has been and continues to be one of the most important and influential people in my life.
In honor of her and moms everywhere, here are some sentimental and insightful quotes to pay tribute to that beautiful, hard-working, loving, caring, smart, thoughtful, kind, friendly, fun, and funny mom in your life!
