“Spring rain…love it, so cleansing. Cool & fresh. Makes the world look like a watercolor painting…the renewing season!”
Well into spring now, summer is almost knocking at our door. Whenever I see what’s on horizon, I take note to experience all I can before the next seasonal change. While I was spring cleaning, I came across a few lists of activities that are especially fun to do this time of year. If like me, you’re looking for more ways to enjoy this season, here are some ideas.

*Host a backyard dinner party
*Picnic at a park
*Pick fresh blueberries and strawberries
*Read a book outdoors
*Relax outside and watch the clouds float by
*Rise at daybreak to listen to birds singing
*Brew herbal sun tea

*Press spring flowers into art
*Buy fresh snow peas at a Farmer’s Market
*Pickle beets, radishes, and carrots
*Notice the trees budding in neighborhoods
*Open all windows and let in the fresh air
*Paint toenails to show off in sandals
*Freshen rooms with hand picked flowers

*Go to a baseball game
*Stroll through a botanical garden
*Discover new hiking trails
*Make fresh squeezed watermelon juice
*Plant a vegetable and herb garden
*Watch butterflies alight on flowers

*Start a new journal
*Donate clothes and household items
*Go fly a kite
*Stargaze in the dark of night
*Visit an apple farm
*Enjoy a bike ride with friends
*Make homemade raspberry jam

*Donate books to a library
*Volunteer with a new organization
*Wash all house windows in and out
*Walk along the beach at sunrise
*Attend an outdoor concert
*Blow bubbles with kids
*Help out at an animal shelter

*Try a new hair style
*Create art
*Clean out the car
*Bake a strawberry rhubarb pie
*Pick a new hobby
*Make summer travel plans
*Call a friend just to say hi

*Write letters to family
*Take a nature walk
*Play miniature golf
*Buy your pet a new toy
*Try a new exercise or sport
*Lay in the grass and watch the sunset
With just 32 days to go before we welcome in those lazy hazy crazy days of summer, I will make the most of these bird singing, flower blooming, breeze blowing, plant growing days upon us. Hope you do, too!
