Season’s Greetings 2024

With our presidential election decided

Some are elated, others enraged

Perhaps this is an important reason

We all need to stay engaged.

While it may seem difficult to reconcile

And put our differences aside

Maybe it’s a way we can begin

To bridge the gap in our divide.

At home we love being retired

Our days are easy, laid back, and slow

Except for having a lively pup

Who wants us to go, and go…and…go!

Kippers is excelling in his training

Especially in Agility

He’s learned basic commands fast

And what sporting ability!

Maneuvering obstacles on courses

Kippers is now ready and able

To scale backyard walls, climb over fences,

And leap onto our picnic table.

Car trips to the mountains and beaches

Short getaways to relax and rest

We also flew back east this fall

Being with family is just the best!

Remembering a song from long ago

Wise words they still may be

“Let there be peace on Earth

And let it begin with me”.
